Simple things are sometimes amazing

Terry Santore

August 20, 2019

The other day I was in Barnes and Noble and they had done the most simplest thing- but I was so in awe.

They had taken about ten books,  wrapped them in brown wrapper,  then wrote on the outside a short intro about the story.   You got to pick your read based solely on the story- not what the book looked like, not who wrote it, but just on what you found was the most interesting story.   This gave new authors as much a chance as established authors.  Took away the shiny art work- to get right to the read.

Wouldn't it be grand if we could do this with other things-  and take the ideas and attitudes we have about things away- just leave a choice on what truly mattered.

Hats off to whoever thought of that offer-  I loved the idea.
